"Clay is ancient. Clay is interactive. Clay is my joy. Porcelain, my sculptural canvas."

Heidi Loewen, ARTsmart's 2019 Artist of the Year, is a favorite among tourists and residents. Heidi Loewen Fine Art is near the Georgia O'Keeffe Museum. Her smoked porcelain platters and gold-leaf illuminated sculptures make an excellent complement to New Mexico's legendary, celebrated artist.
Loewen's exquisite craftsmanship and breathtaking creations attract discerning collectors and art lovers. She personally guides her clients' commissioned works of art through intricate steps of hands-on shaping their porcelain sculptures. She collaborates with Braldt Bralds, Alexandra Eldridge, Bette Ridgeway, Gigi Mills, and Somers Randolph, artists renowned throughout the world.
Loewen was recognized at Miami Basel Spectrum with a sculpture award for her six-foot ruby stiletto, the most photographed artwork at the venue: It's the Shoe that Makes the Woman. This illuminated stiletto graces the roof of her gallery — now a Santa Fe landmark.
In addition to running her own gallery, studio, and ceramic restoration, Heidi has taught professionally for 25 years, wheel throwing her specialty. No art experience needed for pottery or sculpture classes, only a sense of humor! Corporations are welcome for private classes. Her celebrity TV students Giada De Laurentiis, Giada's Weekend Getaways, Samantha Brown, Travel Channel, highlight the "Best Things to do in Santa Fe!"
Heidi draws inspiration from her travels around the world, bringing wonder to her craft. Ever thankful to have found her artful passion, Heidi proclaims, "To work in porcelain is the gift of squish."
