Navajo silversmith Harrison Jim began making jewelry in his teens. Now in his late 40s, Jim’s work shows the maturity of his creative eye. Some examples of his jewelry start as designs carved into tufa stones that are used to cast the pieces in silver. His jewelry frequently features heavy hand stamping using his collection of old ingot stamps. Jim uses the finest turquoise and coral to complete some of his designs. You’ll find Harrison Jim’s jewelry, along with many other Navajo silversmiths’ handmade jewelry, at Ellis Tanner Trading Company.
